I learned that there are many options and setting that I need to learn more about before I start clicking away. I clicked on one of the items and while restarting to view my changes and how my computer reacted, my computer gladly told me many times with little messages and even bringing the msconfig screen to my attention, that something was wrong and that I need to undo the changes that I made. I’m glad one of us knows what’s going on.
I noticed there was an option for booting in the different types of safe mode. The services tab had a lot of information and although I thought about experimenting with this tab I thought it would be best to stick with the startup tab and view changes that I make from there.

Best to use caution when not familiar with everything. I make a point to do a Google lookup on the services running on my machine before i delete or turn them off.
The program can be your best friend or your worst enemy - just be careful as to your exact usage.
